Membership Responsibilities

As a member-supported club, the Jason Lee Swim & Tennis Club relies on the participation of our members to help keep the facility clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.

Each household contributes a small amount of time during the season to support the operation of the club.

Work Hours

Each membership household is required to complete 8 work hours per season.

Work hours may be completed by any member of he household who is able to help, including children. Families are encouraged to work together to complete their hours.

For example: A household of four can complete their required hours if each person contributes just 2 hours together or separate.

Ways to Complete Work Hours

There are many opportunities throughout the season to complete your hours, including:

  • Cleaning and organizing pool areas

  • Light maintenance or improvement projects

  • Seasonal opening and closing work days

  • Yard clean-up (lawn mowing, leaf removal, pulling weeds, etc.)

  • Helping with general upkeep during the season

Opportunities are available throughout the summer, making it easy for all members to complete their required hours.

Additional Opportunities

Members may also choose to take on a larger role by volunteering as a coordinator, which may count toward work hours:

Our Club, Our Responsibility

As a member-owned pool, we all play a part in keeping the facility clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone

Monitor Nights

Each Member household is required to complete ONE Monitor Night per season to help support safe and smooth pool operations.

Requirements

Prior to the start of the season, members will have the opportunity to sign up and select their preferred date.

Any households that have not selected a date before opening day will be assigned a Monitor Night by the club.

Monitor duties include:

  • Being present from 6:00-10:00 PM during your assigned shift.

  • Ensuring pool rules are followed.

  • Completing the required closing checklist and securing the facility properly before leaving.

Monitors must be 21 years or older from the membership household.

Monitor Night is a required responsibility and is not intended for personal gatherings or unauthorized parties.

Missed Monitor Nights

If a member is unable to attend their scheduled shift, it is their responsibility to arrange a substitute from the substitute list or switch nights with another member.

The Monitor Coordinator must be notified of any changes.

Failure to fulfill a scheduled Monitor Night without arranging a substitute or failure to complete a required shift during the season, will result in a $70 fee, which will be added to the following years invoice.
